The short version: We only collect the information you give us through our contact form. We use it to respond to your enquiry and nothing else. We don't sell your data, we don't use it for marketing without your consent, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Who we are
This website is operated by The Faculty Learning and Development Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this website.
If you have any questions about how we handle your data, you can contact us at michael@the-faculty.uk.
What information we collect
We only collect personal information that you provide directly to us through our contact form. This may include:
- Your name
- Your organisation
- Your email address
- The content of your message
We do not use cookies, analytics tracking or any third-party tracking tools on this website. We do not collect any information about your visit beyond what you choose to submit.
Why we collect it
We collect your contact details for one reason: to respond to your enquiry. We will only use your information to:
- Reply to your message
- Follow up on any conversation that results from your initial enquiry
We will not add you to a mailing list, send you marketing emails or share your details with any third party without your explicit consent.
The legal basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests, specifically, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries from people who have chosen to contact us. Where we need to use your data for anything beyond responding to your enquiry, we will ask for your consent first.
How we store your data
Contact form submissions are received via Netlify Forms and forwarded to our email inbox. We retain correspondence for as long as it is relevant to our working relationship with you, or for up to two years after the last contact, whichever is sooner. We will then delete it.
Netlify Forms stores submissions on Netlify's servers. You can read Netlify's privacy policy at netlify.com/privacy.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell, trade or transfer your personal information to third parties. The only exception is Netlify, who process form submissions on our behalf as described above. They are bound by their own privacy policy and data processing terms.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct any inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information
- Object to us processing your data
- Ask us to restrict how we use your data
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, please email us at michael@the-faculty.uk. We will respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you have concerns about how we handle your personal data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator. You can contact the ICO at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
