INSIGHT

Know yourself.
Understand others.

Insights Discovery is a psychometric tool based on the psychology of Carl Jung. It uses a simple four-colour model to help people understand their own preferences, communication style and behaviours, and to appreciate that others see and experience the world differently.

Everyone has a unique blend of the four colour energies. The tool doesn't put people in boxes, it gives them a language for talking about difference in a way that's accessible, memorable and genuinely useful back in the workplace.

Insights Discovery colour wheel

Everyone has all four.
In their own unique mix.

Insights Discovery doesn't label people as one colour. It shows the blend, and helps people understand how their mix shapes the way they work, communicate and relate to others.

Fiery Red
Direct and driven
Action-oriented, competitive and results-focused. People leading with Fiery Red energy move fast, make decisions confidently and tend to get things done. They bring determination and a real sense of purpose to any team.
Sunshine Yellow
Enthusiastic and people-centred
Sociable, optimistic and full of energy. Those leading with Sunshine Yellow bring enthusiasm, ideas and warmth to the room. They thrive on collaboration and have a natural ability to engage and inspire the people around them.
Earth Green
Supportive and values-driven
Caring, patient and relationship-focused. Earth Green energy is the glue that holds teams together. People leading with this energy listen well, care deeply about others and create environments where people feel genuinely valued and heard.
Cool Blue
Analytical and considered
Thoughtful, precise and detail-oriented. Those with strong Cool Blue energy like to understand before they act. They bring quality, rigour and a calm objectivity that helps teams make better decisions and avoid costly mistakes.
What to expect

How a workshop
typically works.

Every Insights Discovery session is shaped around your team and your goals. Here's what the journey usually looks like.

01

Complete the evaluator

Before the session, each participant completes a short online questionnaire. This generates their unique Insights Discovery Personal Profile, which is provided for the workshop.

02

The workshop

We run a half-day or full-day session exploring the model, helping people understand their own profile and, crucially, how to use that understanding to work better with others. We know how to keep people present, participating and genuinely enjoying themselves, whether that's virtual or in person.

03

Taking it further

Insights Discovery works brilliantly as a standalone session, but it really comes alive when built into a wider programme. We can help you work out what makes most sense for your team.

Where it works well

When to use
Insights Discovery.

The tool is versatile enough to sit in lots of different contexts. Here are some of the most common ways we use it.

Team development
Help a team understand each other better, improve communication and work through any friction. Insights gives people a shared language that makes those conversations much easier.
Leadership programmes
A great foundation for any leadership development programme. Self-awareness is the bedrock of good leadership, and Insights gives leaders an accessible way in to that conversation.
New team formation
Bringing a new team together? Insights helps people understand each other quickly and build the psychological safety that high-performing teams need to do their best work.
Conflict and communication
When communication has broken down or relationships are strained, Insights provides a safe, depersonalised framework for exploring what's going wrong and why.
Management development
Help managers understand their own style and its impact, and give them practical tools for flexing their approach to get the best from different people.
Early careers programmes
A brilliant tool for early careers cohorts. It builds self-awareness early, helps them understand their colleagues, and gives them a framework they'll use throughout their working lives.

Common questions.

How long does an Insights Discovery workshop take?
Most sessions run as a half day (around 3.5 hours) or a full day. The right format depends on your objectives and how deep you want to go. We'll help you work that out in an initial conversation.
How many people can attend?
Insights Discovery works well with groups from about 6 to 20 people. Larger cohorts are possible and we can advise on the best approach for bigger groups.
Can it be delivered online?
Yes. We've run many Insights Discovery sessions virtually and they work very well online. The energy is different but the impact is just as strong.
Does everyone get a personal profile?
Yes. Each participant completes an online evaluator beforehand and receives their own Insights Discovery Personal Profile, a detailed and highly personalised report. These are paid for per person as part of the session cost.
Can Insights Discovery be combined with other development work?
Absolutely, and this is often where it's most powerful. We regularly build it into leadership programmes, management development and team effectiveness work. The self-awareness it creates is a brilliant foundation for almost any development conversation.
